Community based classes

Fossils and Fireworks workshops are age appropriate, and fully risk assessed. The safe use of any take home activities will become the responsibility of the parents/carers of children attending our sessions.

If your child has had sickness and/or diarrhoea in the 48 hours prior to a class (or is suffering from an infectious disease such as impetigo) please do not attend. Please do not attend if you or your child are displaying Covid symptoms.

We will not take photographs of children without first seeking written permission from parents/ carers.
Cancellation policy

We regret that we are unable to issue refunds if you are unable to attend a class. A refund will be issued if Fossils and Fireworks is forced to cancel a session (e.g., due to class leader illness or bad weather).
Loss or damages

Children are advised not to bring their own valuable possessions, (including but not limited to toys, mobile phones, game consoles) to the Science Classes. If such items are brought in by a child, Fossils and Fireworks accepts no liability for any loss or damage that may occur.

We would advise children not to wear their best party clothes to sessions as some experiments may be messy and Fossils and Fireworks accepts no liability for any damage that may occur to clothing or shoes.
Behaviour policy

We encourage positive behaviour in our sessions and explain our expectations to all children who attend to ensure the sessions are safe and enjoyable for everyone. We will reasonably request that any child that is causing a disturbance, a danger, or disruption is removed.

No refunds will be given for any child asked to leave due to repeated incidents of unacceptable/disruptive behaviour.
School Clubs (after school or lunchtime)

To register your child’s place at one of our sessions please complete the booking form and sign it.

Please note that your place is not secured until payment has been received.

Please ensure all relevant medical and contact information sections are completed on the registration form.

Parents and carers must ensure they notify us of any changes to the information given on the form.

Loss or damages

We cannot take responsibility for any damaged clothing during the activity. We recommend that you send your child with an old T shirt/art apron that can be worn over their uniform when we are doing messy experiments.

Cancellation policy

We are unable to issue refunds if your child is unable to attend a session e.g., because they are ill or on holiday. In the event of teacher strike action, if the science club is still able to take place that day then no refund will be issued.

Should Fossils and Fireworks have to cancel any sessions due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., class leader illness or bad weather) then payment for that session will be refunded or an additional session will be provided at the end of the block booking where possible.

Welcome to www.fossilsandfireworks.co.uk. Fossils and Fireworks offers children’s science classes in person and online. Community based classes are booked via this website. Please read these terms of use carefully before using the site. If you do not agree to these terms of use, you may not use the website.
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Fossils and Fireworks (“we,” “us” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the www.fossilsandfireworks.co.uk website as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”).
